About this map
The industrial towns behind India's industrial geography: steel plants, aluminium smelters, PSU towns, textile and craft centres. Each marker notes the industry and the locational logic.
Steel is the backbone: Bhilai, Bokaro, Rourkela, Durgapur and the newer coastal plants. The exam asks plant-to-location matching and the public versus private distinction.
Aluminium follows bauxite plus cheap power (Korba, Angul, Renukoot). Textile and craft centres (Panipat, Tiruppur, Varanasi) are asked through the GI and export angle.
