About this map

The islands and channels of the Andaman-Nicobar and Lakshadweep groups plus the famous river and coastal islands. Each marker notes the group, the separating channel, and the exam tag.

Channels are asked as dividers: which channel separates which islands (Ten Degree, Eight Degree, Nine Degree). Barren (active volcano) versus Narcondam (dormant) is the single most repeated island question.

Strategic islands (Great Nicobar, Agalega is not ours) appear through the Indo-Pacific angle. Majuli, Srirangam and Sriharikota are asked as river or coastal islands, not oceanic ones.
